We believe kids learn by doing things themselves and provide them with an endless amount of enthusiasm as well as tools to explore. Education plays an important role. Meeting the needs of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers and more.
Infants need continuity of caregivers to form strong loving relationships that help them feel secure. Infants have the need to develop body movements and explore the world around them while being provided an environment that is safe and as unrestricted as possible. Toddlers are busy and energetic, persistent, and wants to be independent, we encourage our toddlers to do things on their own; as they are working to become independent and self-directed. Preschoolers are natural learners. They love to play, and they learn best through play experiences. Curious and energetic, generally happy, and eager to explore the world around them. Beginner Steps Daycare develops a curriculum considering all the domains of the individual child, what can be challenged, what can be scaffold, and what needs to be structured or unstructured, so every child grows developmentally and educationally. Representing a warm, loving family atmosphere. After all, when you realize that society's most important resource is our children, you begin to see the reason why Beginner Steps Daycare feels this is one of the most important jobs in the world.
Learning Centers include:
- Art - crafts, puppet shows, imagination, dress-up
- Science - weather, educated learning activities
- Movement - sequencing, matching, traffic, groups
- Music - creating your own instruments
- Colors, letters, numbers, shapes, sounds, participation-music
- Outdoor play - fun, playing together, teamwork
- Sense related activities (smell, sight, feel)
